RMS’ proprietary Restaurant Price Index (RPI) is the ultimate competitive price tracker that measures pricing evolution for 170,000 restaurant locations across brands, segments and cuisines on a monthly basis. At a high level, RPI tracks inflation and price changes over time, and applies a weighted average menu mix to each of your competitors based on RMS’ 25+ years of experience. Other food related indexes, such as Food Away from Home, are only available by region and sub-region. RPI, however, gives you complete visibility into your competitors’ pricing strategies on a national level and across regions, cities or neighborhoods. RPI provides a full picture of your competitors’ overall menu price changes.
