TAMPA, FL, September 17, 2019 — Narrowed from a field of 300 nominations, Jana Zschieschang was named one of Tampa’s most powerful and influential businesswomen by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
The group of 29 trailblazing women was chosen based on past business success, community involvement, leadership ability and their influence on the region.
“It is an honor to recognize these businesswomen who are providing remarkable leadership for their companies and in our community,” said Ian Anderson, publisher and market president, Tampa Bay Business Journal. “We hope that by shining light on their accomplishments, as well as the challenges they navigated in order to find success, it will help blaze a trail for many more women in the community to follow in their steps.”
In 2017, Zschieschang became Chief Marketing Officer at Revenue Management Solutions, a global enterprise providing patented, data-driven solutions and services that drive sales and profitability for over 100,000 restaurants of all sizes in more than 40 countries and 20 languages. She is the organization’s first female CMO and the first female non-board member to sit on the Executive Team.
The Business Journal recognized Zschieschang for her diverse experience and success building global brand awareness for RMS. She is fluent in three languages, has lived in five countries and has practiced in fields from hospitality and real estate to banking and data science.
“Jana is directly responsible for creating global brand awareness via targeted marketing initiatives. Since she took over as CMO, the company has increased revenue systematically to more than $30 million in 2018, representing more than 10% annual growth over the past two years,” said Revenue Management Solutions’ CEO John Oakes. “She has a strong record of team building, due to her experience and unique ability to communicate across many different cultures and disciplines and in many languages. We’re lucky to have her and thankful that the Business Journal recognized her effects on Tampa’s business community.”
As CMO, Zschieschang defines and implements the company’s sales and marketing strategy and oversees business development operations for each of RMS’ five global offices in Tampa, Tokyo, Singapore, London and Paris. The company is currently running 5% ahead of budgeted revenue figures for 2019.
Before the role of CMO, Zschieschang was RMS President of EMEA, where she founded RMS’ London office, quadrupled the staff and added dozens of new clients.
Zschieschang and her fellow honorees from multiple industries and professions were recognized at an awards gala on Sept. 13.
