Last week, we broke a record at Revenue Management Solutions and had our youngest intern at our Tampa office. Stefan Miller, from Robinson High School, joined us for a week to experience what it’s like to work at RMS. While a typical high school student may be enjoying their summer vacation at the pool, Stefan decided to learn about statistical analysis instead.
At only 16, Stefan already has a strong passion for statistics and excelling in school. He was the only sophomore at Robinson to take AP Statistics and as if that isn’t outstanding enough, he was the only student in a class of all seniors to get an A for all three quarters. It’s no wonder he received the Outstanding Sophomore in Mathematics Award this year!
His desire to learn about how statistical analysis is applied in real life situations is what attracted him to RMS. Stefan got a glimpse of the work we do every day by not only spending time with our analysts and consultants, but also our IT and research & development team. Our associates took the time to show Stefan the ins and outs of how we work with data and develop tailored recommendations for our clients.
“It was great,” Stefan said, “I learned more than I would at school, for sure!” We were very happy to have Stefan at RMS. “Stefan has a great sense of curiosity and interest in how math is applied in our work,” said Christina Norton, director of associate relations and recruitment. Christina adds, “We could not resist his initiative in wishing to learn more about RMS. There is no doubt we will continue to connect with him as he progresses through high school and college.”
